Welcome to Two Hoots Cottage
Two Hoots is a 3-bedroomed holiday cottage situated on a rural lane within the hamlet of Hodgeston. Located within the National Park and just over a mile from the nearest beach at Freshwater East Bay, it is midway between historic Pembroke and lively Tenby. The cottage was built in 2005 - a former outbuilding of Hodgeston Hall, the neighbouring Grade II listed building. Great care has been taken to empathise with its surroundings - the exterior being built of old, local limestone, whilst internally there is la feel of modern living.
The cottage sleeps 7 and has 3 double-bedded rooms - with an additional single bed in the largest room. There is a bathroom upstairs and an en-suite shower room downstairs. A walled garden to front and rear make it very safe for the under 5's and the 'Access Only' lane outside ensures their further safety. There is secure parking for 3 + cars on the gravel drive.
There is plenty to do and see in this lovely part of Wales and clues to its Norman history and ancient past are all around, with the magnificent castles of Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew hosting events throughout the year. Water Sports, Karting, Horse Riding, Boat Trips, Fishing, Golf or Walking the coastal footpath are just a few of the holiday activities available.
Freshwater and Manorbier beaches are a firm favourite with surfers and kayakers, whilst Bosherston lilly ponds provides gentle walking and excellent fishing. The award-winning Barafundle Bay is within 5 miles and if walking (both seriously and leisurely) is your interest, the coastal footpath is at the top of the lane outside the cottage and you can hop on and off the Coastal Cruiser bus if you don't want to walk back! Whichever holiday activity you prefer - Pembrokeshire has the lot!

"Amazing Cottage & Location"
We had very definite needs when looking for a cottage to rent. With 3 adult couples in our group, we needed not only 3 double rooms but 3 double rooms with double beds, and more than 1 bathroom. Two Hoots fitted the bill perfectly. There was plenbty of room for everyone & never once did we feel cramped or on top of each other. The kitchen is a great size & wonderfully equipped (even my son the chef was thrilled with it). And none of this nonsense of if it accommodates 6 then you have 6 plates, 6 mugs, etc. The range of crockery, glassware, etc was fantastic. Everything was spotlessly clean & beautifully maintained. Very nicely situated between Pembroke & Tenby and some delightful walks, pubs, etc nearby. We heartily recommend this cottage to everyone & hope to be able to return ourselves.
"Clean, comfortable, spacious retreat"
Excellent quality & standard of presentation of property. Location ideal for quiet get away, but within easy access of all major attractions of area. Quiet and deceptively spacious with ample room for my party of 3 generations.
“The cottage was just as nice the second time around if not better”
This was our second visit to this beautiful cosy cottage, with the addition of a baby this time who was more than adequately provided for by the owners. We didn't have brilliant weather this time but there is plenty to do around the area, with some beautiful beaches & walks. Also it is so nice to go back to the well appointed cottage after a cold brisk walk, the owners provide you with everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. I almost want to keep it our little secret & not publicise it to the world, but also want to thank them for making our New Years break with our family so enjoyable. Thankyou again, I highly recommend your cottage (grudgingly) to everyone!!!
“A lovely house, with ample space, in a good location.”
“A fabulous comfortable stay, a real home from home, we'll definitely be back.”
