Welcome to Two Hoots Cottage
Two Hoots is a 3-bedroomed holiday cottage situated on a rural lane within the hamlet of Hodgeston. Located within the National Park and just over a mile from the nearest beach at Freshwater Bay, it is midway between historic Pembroke and lively Tenby. The cottage was built in 2005 - a conversion of the granary of Hodgeston Hall, the neighbouring Grade II listed building. Great care has been taken to empathise with its surroundings - the exterior being built of old, local limestone, whist internally there is liberal use of exposed timber.
The cottage sleeps 7 and has 3 double-bedded rooms - with an additional single bed in the largest room. There is a bathroom upstairs and an en-suite shower room downstairs. A walled garden to front and rear make it very safe for the under 5's and the 'Access Only' lane outside ensures their further safety. There is secure parking for 3 cars on the the gravel drive. With rural views to front and rear you'll love to watch the horses in the fields or eat fresh farm eggs at your picnic on the village green, whilst the children play football.
There is plenty to do and see in this lovely part of Wales and clues to its Norman history and ancient past are all around, with the magnificent castles of Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew hosting live theatre and medieval events. Water sports, boat trips, fishing, golf or walking the coastal footpath are just a few of the holiday activities available. Freshwater and Manorbier beaches are a firm favourite with surfers and kayakers, whilst Bosherston lilly ponds provides excellent fishing. The award-winning Barafundle Bay is within 5 miles and if walking is your interest, the coastal footpath is at the top of the lane outside the cottage and you can hop on and off the Coastal Cruiser bus if you don't want to walk back! Whichever holiday activity you prefer - Pembrokeshire has the lot!

“The cottage was just as nice the second time around if not better”

This was our second visit to this beautiful cosy cottage, with the addition of a baby this time who was more than adequately provided for by the owners. We didn't have brilliant weather this time but there is plenty to do around the area, with some beautiful beaches & walks. Also it is so nice to go back to the well appointed cottage after a cold brisk walk, the owners provide you with everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. I almost want to keep it our little secret & not publicise it to the world, but also want to sing the praises of Eileen & her family for making our New Years break with our family so enjoyable. Thankyou again Eileen & I highly recommend your cottage (grudgingly) to everyone!!!
“A lovely house, with ample space, in a good location.”

The whole booking experience was very straight forward, the property owner was very thorough and quick to respond to any queries that we had.
The property was in very good condition and catered perfectly for our needs; there was ample space for our party of 4 adults and 1 child, the property was well equipped for our stay and it was great to have off-road parking for more than one vehicle. The house is situated in a lovely hamlet, on a quiet lane with good access to local amenities of which the owners have provided a concise list and their locations. A great beach is less than 5 minutes drive, there are many opportunities for good walks nearby and the property is just a short drive away from the nearby towns of Tenby and Pembroke, which are both worth a visit. Further afield is the beautiful National Botanic Garden of Wales. For the children, Folly Farm and Manor House Wildlife Park are recommended! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pembrokeshire and the property was ideal for our needs and exactly what we were hoping for.
“A fabulous comfortable stay, a real home from home, we'll definitely be back.”

Lovely cottage in a quiet peaceful spot. The children loved their rooms and had plenty of space to play. A huge great kitchen which was close to the living room so we could keep an eye on the children. Great washing and drying facilities which is essential with 3 children! We've stayed in quite a few holiday cottages over the years but this was by far the best one we've stayed in and we'll be back.
